One Future

In case you missed it, e360 is a cutting-edge methane management SaaS solution that resulted from embedding the methodology from Dr. Sean MacMullin’s publication on quantifying emissions from gas distribution systems (2022 R&D winner, One Future). e360 provides gas operators an opportunity to turn their mobile surveying into actionable emissions inventories. It delivers the education, reporting and abatement knowledge operators need to understand their emissions.

Comprehensive methane data is collected across a distribution system by advanced mobile leak detection (AMLD). e360 combines the power of the AMLD and survey frequency to create network-wide, measurement-based emissions inventories. To maximize confidence across a network, detections are categorized into bins. The bins are then summarized over the surveyed area and additional factors are included to account for intermittent leaks, repair times and uncertainties. This results in a final inventory with maximized certainty compared to measuring a single leak source or using traditional factors. e360 methodologies fully support voluntary methane initiatives, including OGMP 2.0, Project Veritas and One Future.

Within e360, Picarro has released the Super Emitter Program Planner. This tool boasts a tangible way for gas operators to forecast the abatement of their emissions. This next-gen tool allows LDCs to simulate their operating systems and accurately forecast their path to net zero, the amount of repairs needed and the total cost of methane abatement.

emissions360 is poised to revolutionize methane emissions, delivering the fundamental building blocks organizations need to understand their emissions and reach net zero goals. It supports operators in building bottom-up and actionable top-down inventories with AMLD. e360 is not merely a product; it represents a commitment to a sustainable future and aligns with global efforts to curb GHG emissions.
